It is bad practice to have a favorite child, but I don’t think that applies to quilt patterns…so I’ll admit it, Sundance is my favorite quilt pattern. I love the boho vibes, the geometric structure, how quickly it comes together, but more than those — I love what inspired this design. Sundance, Wyoming, is little town in the northeastern corner of the state, and our family’s favorite getaway for a day of hiking, fishing, and making memories. It is beautifully secluded.

While the pattern may look intimidating, it comes together very quickly to create a modern, boho quilt design perfect to compliment a boho nursery, a trendy living area, or a stylish teenage bedroom.

The pattern offers 3 sizing options — Baby, Throw, and Queen — and the design is identical between each size. As an added bonus, a scrap-busting project is included at the end of the pattern! The best time to do a small scrappy project is right after finishing a quilt, so guidance to improv piece your Sundance scraps into a messenger bag (perfect for protecting your quilt, perhaps?) are included at the end of the pattern with an accompanying blog post to walk you step-by-step through assembly.

Speaking of fabric pulls and cuts: the yardage requirements are listed below and we have several lovely fabric shops offering kits to coordinate with versions pictured.

This fabric combination reminds me of a Desert Sunrise, and was selected by Hayley, one of the amazing Sundance testers. She decided to make the queen size version for her bed, and the finished quilt took my breath away!. The lovely shop owners at Peartree Market have created a kit for this version!

This colorway is modern Americana, and my tester Jessica partnered with Global Fiber shop to curate this bundle for you guys! The way that these colors blend together makes for such a soothing esthetic. It would be perfect for modern nursery quilt or wall hanging.
